Daniel Cordani
Working in several mediums with an array of materials (often repurposing discarded resources) the works are constructed without a defined final image in mind and are driven by the process that unfolds, specific to each piece. Automatic gestures take turns with articulated consideration, as biomorphic forms mix with geometric structures. Mask making has played an integral role in my studio practice in recent years, both continuing an ancient art practice and exploring the fractured nature of the self in the post-modern digital age.
