I primarily work in egg tempera painting with occasional gold or silver leaf.
Late medieval - early renaissance 13th -15th Century Italian paintings are my biggest inspiration for these mediums.
Living in Sunnyside, Queens and working in New York City inspires my subject matter. I'm drawn to the expressive quality of graffiti and other urban refernces.
I graduated from the New York Academy of Art with an MFA in 2010. I’m a picture frame finisher for a fine art frame company in Brooklyn. I live with my wife and two young daughters. I also love surfing in the ocean beacuse of the meditative and grounding experience of being one with nature.
